SPORTS COUNCIL

    The task of the Commission is to promote sport, to aid and facilitate sports in  Ukrainian community based sports organizations of diaspora. The Commission conceptualized, formalized and promoted a community structure that since 1993 has supported Ukrainian athletes,  primarily in locales populated by the Ukrainian diaspora.












Stan Haba, the Head of the UWC Sports Commission,  was in Germany during the World Cup Championship (June - July 2006) as a member of the Ukrainian national soccer team. He greeted the Ukrainian Football Federation at the Ukrainian Football House in Berlin.

    As a great soccer fan himself he took the pictures with  real patriots  who came from Ukraine to support  the Ukrainian soccer team in Germany.
