Ukrainian World Congress condemns terrorist attacks in Egypt
The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) joins the international community in condemning the terrorist attacks on 9 April 2017 at two Christian churches in the cities of Tanta and Alexandria, Egypt, which claimed the lives of dozens of individuals and injured numerous others.
On behalf of the 20-million strong Ukrainian diaspora, the UWC expresses sincere condolences to the families of the victims and prays for all those who suffered from these acts of terrorism.
“The Ukrainian World Congress is appalled by these acts of terrorism against worshippers on Palm Sunday and expresses solidarity with the Egyptian people in the wake of this tragedy,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij. “We appeal to the international community for a united stand against the forces which attempt to threaten peace and security in the world.”
