Ukrainian World Congress calls upon international community to provide Ukraine with defensive weapons and strengthen targeted sanctions against Russia
The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) decisively calls upon the international community to provide Ukraine with defensive weapons and strengthen targeted sanctions against Russia that, in violation of the Minsk agreements, continues artillery strikes in Eastern Ukraine.
The UWC also calls for the United Nations and the European Union to urgently send peacekeeping missions to Ukraine.
President of the European Council Donald Tusk emphasized: “Today, we have to face the reality that almost one week later there have been more than 300 violations of the ceasefire. People are still dying. We are clearly reaching a point when further diplomatic efforts will be fruitless unless credibly backed up by further action.”
“The Ukrainian World Congress calls upon the international community to concretely and effectively help Ukraine end the aggression by Russia that is a serious threat not only to the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, but to the entire world order,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
