Ukrainian World Congress President signed Action Plan at the Ministry of Youth and Sport
On 25 August 2016, Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Eugene Czolij, the Minister of Youth and Sport of Ukraine, Ihor Zhdanov, the President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, Sergey Bubka, the President of the National Committee for Paralympic Sports in Ukraine, Valeriy Sushkevych, and the Head of the Sports Committee of Ukraine, Illia Shevliak, signed an Action Plan in accordance with the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Ukrainian World Congress.
This Action Plan specifically addresses the participation of Ukrainian community organizations of the diaspora in the development of youth policies and sport in Ukraine. During the signing of this Action Plan the coordination ofefforts was discussed in realizing joint projects between the UWC and Ukraine. One such project will involve the participation of Ukrainian soldiers from the ATO zone, in the Invictus Games that are scheduled to take place in September 2017 in Toronto, Canada.
In the framework of this event, the President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine Sergey Bubka presented the UWC President Eugene Czolij with a medal and certificate acknowledging “Significant contribution to the development and promotion of the Olympic movement in Ukraine.”
“The signing of the Action Plan at the Ministry of Youth and Sport became yet one more specific step on the path of implementing the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the UWC,” commented UWC President Eugene Czolij.
