UWC expresses solidarity with the Canadian people in wake of tragic accident involving members of a youth hockey team
The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) expresses sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims of the tragic accident in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada, which took the lives of 15 individuals and injured 14 others, most of whom were young hockey players travelling to a competition.
This tragic accident has touched the entire world, including the people of Ukraine who continue to leave condolences and flowers at Canadian diplomatic missions.
“On behalf of the 20-million strong Ukrainian diaspora, the UWC expresses sincere condolences to the Canadian people and prays for all affected by this heartbreaking tragedy,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
