XI Ukrainian World Congress will be held 24-26 November 2018 in Kyiv
The Ukrainian World Congress is pleased to announce that the XI Ukrainian World Congress (XI UWC Congress) will be held 24-26 November 2018 in Kyiv, Ukraine.
The XI UWC Congress will review the work of the UWC for the period of 2013-2018, discuss statutory matters and topics of relevance to the Ukrainian community, and will also highlight the primary focus of its activity for the next four-year term. On 26 November 2018, delegates of the XI UWC Congress will elect a new Board of Directors.
Participating in the work of the XI UWC Congress will be representatives of UWC Member Organizations and Associate Members, and guests from its network which today includes Ukrainian communities in 53 countries.
In the framework of the commemoration of the 85th anniversary of the Holodomor, delegates and guests of the XI UWC Congress will honour the memory of the victims of the genocide of the Ukrainian people during state commemorations scheduled to be held in Kyiv on 24 November 2018 – International Holodomor Memorial Day.
“I call upon our entire network to actively participate in the XI UWC Congress and, with your voice, take an active part in the continuing development of the work of the Ukrainian World Congress in the defence of the interests of the global Ukrainian community and our spiritual homeland Ukraine,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
