AUGB honors Fedir Kurlak for 40 years of service to the Ukrainian community in the UK

The Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain (AUGB) extends its sincere and heartfelt congratulations to Fedir Kurlak MBE, General Secretary of the Association, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of his professional career, which he has devoted in its entirety to serving the Ukrainian community in the United Kingdom.

Having begun his work at the AUGB Head Office in 1985 and later being elected to the Board of Directors as General Secretary in 1989, Fedir has made an invaluable contribution to the development of our organisation and continues to serve it with unwavering dedication.

Through his diligent efforts, he has created a well-structured chronicle of AUGB’s activities, covering events from 1945 to the present day, which stands as a documentary encyclopedia of our community — a true treasure for the history of Ukrainian emigration to the British Isles.

Over the years, he has been honoured with state awards from both Ukraine and the United Kingdom, recognising his professionalism, integrity, and steadfast commitment to his work.

We express our deepest gratitude for his many years of devoted service to our community, for his high professionalism, responsibility, goodwill, and diplomacy, and for his loyalty and dedication to our common cause.

We hold you in the highest esteem and wish you good health, continued inspiration, and every success in the years ahead!

On behalf of the Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain,

Petro Rewko, Chair
