Six killed and 35 injured in Russian strike on Kyiv overnight
Six people were killed and 35 injured, including two children, in a Russian combined strike on Kyiv during the night of Nov. 13–14, city officials said.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed the deaths after emergency crews recovered another body from the rubble in the Desnianskyi district, where a Shahed drone slammed into a high-rise apartment building, setting it on fire and collapsing part of the structure.
The Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office said a 10-year-old boy was hospitalized with injuries, and a 7-year-old child was also among those hurt. Twenty-seven residential buildings across several districts — Desnianskyi, Dniprovskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Podilskyi, Solomianskyi and Shevchenkivskyi — sustained damage.
State Emergency Service spokesperson Oleksandr Khorunzhyi said the strike “essentially pierced through part of the building,” leaving people trapped inside. Search-and-rescue operations continued through the day as firefighters worked to extinguish multiple blazes.

Russian drones strike on Chornomorsk market, kills two civilians and injures 11. A Russian suicide drone attack tore a busy outdoor market in the Black Sea coastal city of Chornomosrks in Ukraine’s Odesa region on Nov. 14, killing and injuring 11, including a young child, local authorities said.
Odesa regional governor Oleh Kiper said several victims remain in critical condition.
The strike shattered market stalls, nearby shops, private vehicles and a city square. Windows were shattered at a nearby college due to the shock wave.

Ukrainian special forces shatter Russian troop concentration in Donetsk region. Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces (SSO) struck a major Russian troop assembly point in the Donetsk regional village of Zatyshok, a blow in what they described as significant losses to units who were preparing for a new advance in the area, the SSO reported Nov. 14.
