On August 24, 2025, Ukraine marks its Independence Day not with quiet reflection, but with fierce resolve. As the country enters its fourth year of full-scale war, the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) calls on Ukrainians and freedom-loving people around the globe to stand shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine.
Fight like a Ukrainian is not just a slogan — it’s a summons. It means digging in when the world expects you to break. It means defending freedom with every ounce of strength, even when the cost is high. It means knowing that courage can defeat cruelty, and that dignity cannot be conquered.
Ukraine’s defenders show us this spirit daily. For more than 500 days, they’ve endured missile strikes, drone swarms, and unimaginable loss. Yet the nation fights on—undaunted, unbroken.
This summer must not be one of silence. While others vacation, Ukraine bleeds. The world must answer with action.
UWC calls for immediate, united efforts in three vital areas:
- Weapons for victory — Equip Ukraine to reclaim its territory and secure its future.
- Air defense systems — Shield civilians from the terror raining down from the skies.
- Stronger sanctions — Starve the Kremlin’s war machine of resources and resolve.
Let this Independence Day echo far beyond the borders of Ukraine. Let it be remembered not just as a national milestone, but as a moment of global unity and defiance.
