Russia has realized that the impact of its disinformation campaign in Ukraine is waning, so it has shifted its propaganda narratives to Europe.
This was stated by Jaroszlava Hartyányi, President of the World Federation of Ukrainian Women’s Organizations (WFUWO) and Second Vice President of the UWC, in an interview with Radio France Internationale.
“I call this verbal terrorism. It is very dangerous,” she said.
Hartyányi spoke with journalists on the sidelines of the WFUWO conference in Málaga, Spain.
She emphasized that the role of Ukrainian communities is to work with politicians, journalists, and media outlets by providing facts to debunk Russian myths.
“We don’t need to invent legends, we must speak the truth. Truth is also a weapon,” Hartyányi said.
The interview also covered key topics of the WFUWO conference: advocating for Ukraine on the global stage, strengthening unity within the Ukrainian women’s movement, supporting Ukrainians abroad, and preparing for the safe return of citizens after the war.
