Ukraine Good Deed Association marks 3rd anniversary of first Ukrainian Center in Montenegro

The Ukraine Good Deed Association, a supporter of the Ukrainian World Congress, celebrated the third anniversary of opening the first Ukrainian Center in Montenegro on Aug. 3.

“Three years ago, the Ukrainian Center opened its doors in Podgorica, immediately becoming a vital hub — serving as a crisis headquarters, cultural and educational space, and the official representation of Good Deed,” the association said.

Over the past three years, the center has hosted numerous events and meetings, held hundreds of lessons, and organized traditional celebrations and commemorations. It regularly welcomes both adults and children.

At the center, volunteers weave nets that are used for camouflage, sing Ukrainian songs and paint, recite Ukrainian poetry and prose, light candles in memory of fallen soldiers, and hold prayers for those who are still alive.

“This space has become a place of strength and support for many and marks a new chapter in the history of the Ukrainian diaspora in Montenegro,” the statement said.

The Ukraine Good Deed Association expressed heartfelt thanks to all friends, guests, partners, and volunteers who contribute to the center’s growth in Podgorica.

The Ukrainian World Congress supports their initiatives and encourages continued the group in support of strengthening the global Ukrainian community.
