Commemorative dates
April 4 – NATO Day. For Ukraine, membership in the Alliance is essential for ensuring security, strengthening international support, and defending freedom in Europe.
April 26 – the 40th anniversary of the Chornobyl disaster, the largest man-made catastrophe in human history, caused by negligence and failures of the Soviet authorities.
April – In 2022, Ukraine’s Armed Forces liberated the Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions, completing the de-occupation of northern Ukraine by April 5-7 and disrupting Russia’s blitzkrieg. Advocacy materials are available at the following link.

April 5-11 – The KobzART Ukrainian Festival will take place in Nice, France. The festival’s slogan is “Resistance. Resilience. Renaissance.”
April 9 – In Toronto, a lecture will be held at the Ukrainian Canadian Art Foundation KUMF Gallery as part of the “Contemporary Ukrainian Diaspora Literature” project, featuring author Maria Reva.
April 25 – The World Federation of Ukrainian Women Organizations (WFUWO) will host an Academy Gala in Toronto to honor leaders of the Ukrainian women’s movement in Canada and around the world.
