Brothers in terror: Iran to supply missiles and drones to Russia for killing Ukrainians

As Russia continues its aerial assault on the Ukrainian energy infrastructure, killing Ukrainians directly and expecting more to die without heating during the winter, Tehran’s support of the Kremlin becomes increasingly ominous.

“Iran is strengthening its commitment to supply arms for Russia’s assault on Ukraine, according to U.S. and allied security officials, secretly agreeing to send not only attack drones but also what some officials described as the first Iranian-made surface-to-surface missiles intended for use against Ukrainian cities and troop positions,” reads a story published in The Washington Post yesterday.

According to an intelligence assessment “Iran’s armaments industry is preparing a first shipment of Fateh-110 and Zolfaghar missiles, two well-known Iranian short-range ballistic missiles capable of striking targets at distances of 300 and 700 kilometers, respectively […]. If carried out, it would be the first delivery of such missiles to Russia since the start of the war.”

Tehran consistently denies its involvement in the supply of drones to Russia “for use in the Ukraine war.” However, Kyiv provides ample evidence to the contrary as the Ukrainian Armed Forced shoot down dozens of Iranian-made drones every day.

In the wake of reports on Iran’s intentions to provide Russia with missiles for the war, hope has appeared that Ukraine will receive support from Israel, which has a massive experience in air defense. Nachman Shai, Israeli minister of diaspora affairs, wrote on Twitter that there is “no longer any doubt where Israel should stand in this bloody conflict. The time has come for Ukraine to receive military aid as well, just as the USA and NATO countries provide.”
