Commemorating Stefan Romaniw: Join us on July 12 for Day of Remembrance

On Friday, July 12, the global community will honor the legacy of Stefan Romaniw, a distinguished leader within the Ukrainian community, with a state funeral. The ceremony will be held at 10:00 am at the Sts Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral in North Melbourne, commemorating a life dedicated to fearless and tireless advocacy for Ukrainian causes.

In tribute to his enduring legacy, the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) encourages individuals to participate in a moment of prayer, light a candle, and attend a Divine Liturgy. Additionally, the UWC invites people to share their memories of Stefan Romaniw on social media using the hashtag #StefanRomaniw on July 12.

The AFUO has established an online memorial board to further honor Stefan Romaniw’s memory. Those who knew him are welcome to contribute memories, post photographs, and celebrate his impactful life. Posts can be made via the provided link.

The tragic news of the untimely passing of prominent Ukrainian figure Stefan Romaniw arrived on the morning of June 26.
