Communities unite in sorrow and remembrance

The Ukrainian World Congress expresses deepest condolences to the families and friends of the passengers and crew of Ukraine International Airline flight PS752 who died tragically when the plane crashed after taking off from Tehran on January 8, 2020.

On the national day of mourning in Ukraine on January 9 communities around the world united in sorrow and remembrance. Ukrainian World Congress Vice President and Ukrainian Canadian Congress National President Alexandra Chyczij addressed a vigil in Toronto, one of many held worldwide, to express solidarity with families and friends of the victims, and the international community.

“The Ukrainian World Congress offers its deepest condolences to those who have lost family, friends and loved ones in this tragedy. We encourage Canada and Ukraine to work closely together along with the international community to ensure a thorough investigation into the causes of this crash,” stated Paul Grod, President of the Ukrainian World Congress.
