The Ukrainian World Congress stands in solidarity with the people and communities across the Gulf who have been affected by the latest attacks launched by the regime in Tehran. These strikes against sovereign states and civilian areas are deliberate acts of aggression that threaten regional stability and endanger communities who have long offered sanctuary to those fleeing war and persecution.
As drones and missiles target residential areas and critical infrastructure, the pattern is unmistakable. The regime, an active supporter of Russia’s brutal war against Ukraine, continues to export violence, destabilization, and impunity across regions. The same weapons used against Ukrainian cities are now being deployed against the Gulf.
We express unwavering support for our Ukrainian communities and all diaspora groups in the region, and we extend deep gratitude to the Gulf states that have provided refuge to those escaping conflict, even as they now face direct threats themselves.
We call on the international community to respond decisively: Hold the regime accountable, reinforce Gulf defenses, and strengthen coordinated measures to curb its aggression and its support for Russia’s war machine. A fragmented response only invites further escalation.
