‘Energize Ukraine’ gains support at US Energy Conference

San Diego, USA – Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Paul Grod presented “Energize Ukraine”: the global initiative to deliver urgent assistance to Ukraine’s energy infrastructure at the industry-leading, annual DISTRIBUTECH International event on Wednesday.

During his presentation, Paul Grod noted that UWC, as an international non-governmental organization, has partnerships in place with key players in Ukraine’s energy sector, including UkrEnergo, the Ministry of Energy, and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine; he explained that Energize Ukraine devotes all of its efforts towards locating, purchasing and delivering the equipment that Ukraine needs.

“Our role is to help identify and to help provide coordination the logistics of getting that to Ukraine. We’re calling on all utilities to reach out to us to energizeukraine.com, all the information is there about the type of equipment that’s needed, we’re updating it regularly,” said Paul Grod, UWC President.

 

To help support those efforts, Clarion Events presented a $10,000 check to Energize Ukraine. The check was presented by Greg Topalian, North American CEO of Clarion Events, as part of the company’s Clarion Cares initiative.

The presentation included a video showing the destruction that massive Russian missile attacks have had on Ukraine, inlcuding damage to more than 40% of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
