German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said Germany is working with the European Commission to organize a conference on rebuilding Ukraine after the war, DW reported.
“We are firmly committed to supporting Ukraine’s reconstruction through an international reconstruction conference and an international reconstruction plan, which will be developed and implemented by Ukraine in close coordination with international partners,” he was quoted as saying. “We need a Marshall Plan for Ukraine, it must also be well planned and developed, that is what we have set out to do.”
Scholz also pointed out that “it’s not going to be about an effort of a few years, it’s going to be about many years.”
