Registration is now open for events that will mark the anniversary of Russia’s full-blown invasion of Ukraine, which is organized as part of the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) global campaign, Stand With Ukraine: Protect future generations.
UWC encourages communities, organizations, and partners to add their events to the online campaign map.
The campaign brings together Ukrainian communities and international partners to raise awareness of one of the war’s gravest crimes:the systematic abduction and deportation of Ukrainian children. This is not only a humanitarian tragedy but also an attempt to erase Ukrainian identity and destroy the nation’s future.
The campaign’s central message is simple: the repatriation of Ukrainian children is essential for a lasting and just peace. Hence, without justice for children, there can be no true peace.
UWC calls on communities and partners worldwide to organize public events, solidarity actions, and advocacy initiatives and register them on the global campaign map. This coordinated effort highlights international support for Ukraine, increases pressure on governments and international institutions, and ensures consistent media coverage on the protection of Ukrainian children.
Each event contributes to a unified global voice that advocates for Ukrainian children and Ukraine’s right to a just peace. The UWC urges everyone to join the campaign, organize events, and make this issue impossible to ignore.
As part of the campaign, UWC will hold a webinar titled “The Long-Term Impact of Russia’s Abduction of Ukrainian Children” on Feb. 1 at 3:00 p.m. Kyiv time.
The event will feature prominent speakers, including Paul Grod, President of the Ukrainian World Congress; Oleksandra Matviichuk, Chair of the Center for Civil Liberties and Nobel Peace Prize laureate; Dmytro Lubinets, Ukraine’s Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights; and Kateryna Rashevska, an expert in international humanitarian and criminal law. The webinar will be moderated by Volodymyr Kogutyak, UWC Vice President and Head of Advocacy.
