Lviv hosted the Educational Academy for representatives of Ukrainian schools across Europe on Aug. 19–20, bringing together 160 educators from 28 countries, the UWC’s International Educational Coordinating Council reported.
“Live educational gatherings are a wonderful opportunity to meet, exchange teaching experience, connect with like-minded colleagues, make friends, discuss educational needs, and develop effective solutions for their implementation,” the statement reads.
Key insights and actionable recommendations from the discussion panels will be forwarded to Ukraine’s Education Ministry of and the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science, and Innovation for further work.
“Our strength lies in our unity! Only the united voice of the Ukrainian diaspora’s educational community can be heard and effectively advocate for the interests of Ukrainian schools worldwide. Educators from all countries, let’s unite. Together, we are undeniably stronger,” said Lyuba Lyubchyk, chair of IECC.
The event was held under the patronage of Ukraine’s Ministry of Education and Science and organized by the Department of Education and Science of Lviv Regional Military Administration, the International Institute of Education, Culture and Diaspora Relations, IECC, the Ukrainian World Congress and European Congress of Ukrainians.
