NRC: Russia transfers group of children from occupied Luhansk to camps in southern Russia

Russians continue to abduct Ukrainian children and forcibly transfer them to Russian territory.

Most recently, the occupiers took fifty children from the Antratsytivskyi district of Luhansk region and transferred them to Klmykia near the northwestern shores of the Caspian Sea east Rostov Oblast, the National Resistance Center (NRC) reported.

The minors were transported under the pretense of a so-called “health improvement” program to a children’s camp..

“Russian occupiers systematically remove Ukrainian children from temporarily occupied territories under the guise of ‘health improvement,’” the NRC said.

The children from Luhansk were sent to the “Lesnaya Skazka” camp in Kalmykia.

“Officially, they are promised sports games, workshops, and new friends. But the true purpose is assimilation and Russification of children forcibly separated from their homes and culture,” the NRC said.

The National Resistance Center stresses that “all those involved in the deportation of Ukrainian children will be identified and held accountable.”

Earlier reports indicated that the Kremlin is turning Ukrainian students from temporarily occupied territories into powerless laborers by forcing them into compulsory work.
