The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC), together with Ukrainian government institutions, organized an online meeting bringing together diaspora representatives and active young Ukrainians abroad with Lt. Gen. Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
The meeting focused on coordinating international events for the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Addressing the global Ukrainian community, Lt. Gen. Kyrylo Budanov thanked Ukrainians around the world for their civic engagement, patriotism, and steadfast defense of Ukrainian identity. He emphasized that the current struggle is a war for Ukraine’s independence and called for synchronized international efforts by Ukrainian communities. Among other initiatives, he highlighted organizing moments of remembrance for fallen Ukrainian soldiers worldwide.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Head of the Office of the President Olena Kovalska, First Deputy Head Serhiy Kyslytsia, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariana Betsa; and Oleksandr Sanchenko, a Member of Parliament of Ukraine and Co-Chair of the Presidential Council on Youth Affairs.
Representing the UWC, Volodymyr Kogutyak, UWC Vice President for Western Europe, presented the global campaign “Stand With Ukraine: Protect Future Generations.” Regional UWC Vice Presidents Nataliya Poshyvaylo-Towler and Yevheniy Semenov also addressed the participants.
