President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko grants Ukrainian citizenship to the founders of UWC project “Patriot Defence” Ulana and Marko Suprun

The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) congratulates the founders and activists of UWC project “Patriot Defence”, UWC Director of Humanitarian Initiatives Dr. Ulana Suprun and Marko Suprun, upon being granted Ukrainian citizenship by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

During a ceremony on 11 July 2015, the President of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the couple for their commitment to the interests of Ukraine and specifically, their unwavering dedication to a project that continues to save thousands of Ukrainian lives.

Since the inception of the project “Patriot Defence” in May 2014, over 16,550 Individual First Aid Kits were provided to military and civilian personnel and Combat Lifesaver training was completed by 19,075 soldiers and 2,384 cadets.

“The Ukrainian World Congress commends Dr. Ulana and Marko Suprun on their tremendous accomplishments,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.  “They are a source of pride for Ukrainian communities throughout the world and their work should serve as an example for younger generations.”
