President Zelenskyy: Real protection is needed against Russia’s madness

“Ukrainian diplomacy has two priorities: to work for Ukraine’s defense and to work for our resilience,” said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a traditional address to the Ukrainian nation on Dec. 17.

Dear Ukrainians, A brief update on today.

First of all – reports from our regions. Wherever needed, restoration work is ongoing around the clock. This is often heroic work by our repair crews, energy workers, municipal services, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, and especially in areas near the Russian border and the front line. Everyone is working to restore electricity to our people and communities.

It is crucial that no gaps remain. Local and regional authorities must not overlook a single street or village. Work must be carried out promptly, and accountability for it is personal.
