A nomination for the St. Volodymyr the Great Medal must be submitted in writing. The nominationmust include justification for awarding the nominee the St. Volodymyr the Great Medal.
Nominations for the St. Volodymyr the Great Medal can be made by:
a) UWC Ukrainian Central Representations in countries with 100,000 or more Ukrainians, andthe World Federation of Ukrainian Women’s Organizations, who, at the time of submitting anomination, have fulfilled all financial obligations with the respect to the UWC (paidmembership dues) for prior years;
b) UWC Ukrainian Central Representations in countries with less than 100,000 Ukrainians,Ukrainian Churches-UWC members, European Congress of Ukrainians, UWC Ukrainianinternational organizations and UWC Ukrainian national organizations, which, at the time ofsubmitting a nomination, have fulfilled all financial obligations with respect to the UWC (paidmembership dues) for prior years; and
c) members of the UWC Board of Directors.
The number of recipients is determined according to the following formula:
-3 individuals from each UWC member in Category A
-2 individuals from each UWCmember in Category B
-1 individual from every member of the UWC Board of Directors
Under special circumstances the number of recipients and the time of awarding may be changed.
The St. Volodymyr the Great Medal is awarded during the UWC Congress.
During every UWC term of office a Committee is tasked with the responsibility of reviewing theconformity of the submitted documents and proposing nominations to the UWC Board of Directorsfor ratification. Incomplete or late nominations will not be reviewed
