The threat of Russian President Vladimir Putin using tactical nuclear weapons is “real”, the President of the United States of America Joe Biden said.
“When I was out here about two years ago saying I worried about the Colorado river drying up, everybody looked at me like I was crazy. They looked at me like when I said I worry about Putin using tactical nuclear weapons. It’s real,” the US president states.
Biden’s statement was made against the background of news about the probable deployment of Russian nuclear weapons in Belarus. Earlier, the US president condemned the actions of Russia and called them “absolutely irresponsible”.
On June 16, Putin announced that the first Russian tactical nuclear charges are already on the territory of Belarus. The delivery will be complete by the end of the year, according to the Russian dictator.
Earlier, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia intends to detonate the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant to “destabilize the situation in Ukraine.”
