Ukrainian engineers have developed a Liut (“Rage”) new combat robot, said Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. The invention has already successfully passed field tests.
“Technology and innovation are the key to our victory. They help to gain an advantage on the battlefield and save the lives of our fighters,” Fedorov said.
The vehicle is armed with a tank machine gun, a 360° view camera, and armor that protects against small arms and debris. It is a compact robot that can be controlled remotely and perform combat missions. In particular, to storm or defend positions, the minister explained.
Currently, the development team is working on improving the machine and preparing to scale up production. Earlier, Ukrainians created an invisibility cloak protecting against thermal imaging for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
