Russia blasted Ukraine for 6 hours with all missile types they have

With their perverted love for symbolic dates, Russia resumed its mass missile strikes at the Ukrainian civilian infrastructure within the first hour of Mar. 9 – the birthday of Taras Shevchenko, the Ukrainian poet, artist and prophet.

The strike took the lives of civilians and damaged many critical infrastructure facilities.

According to media reports, the attack killed five people in the village of Velyka Vilshanytsya, 50 kilometers from Lviv, and three in Kherson.

One person died and two were injured in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Three persons were also wounded in Kyiv and another two in Kharkiv Oblast.

Volodymyr Kudrytsky, the chairman of the Board of the National Power Company “Ukrenergo,” reported that there are damages at both thermal and electric power plants as well as substations, and power supply in certain oblasts is limited. However, the strike failed in achieving its goal of “putting out the energy system of Ukraine, he said.

Over six hours before dawn, the Russian barbarians fired 81 missiles and eight kamikaze drones. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, these include:

  • 28 Kh-101/Kh-555 air-launched cruise missiles;
  • 20 Kalibr sea-launched cruise missiles;
  • 6 Kh-22 air-launched cruise missiles;
  • 6 Kh-47 “Kinzhal” hypersonic air-launched cruise missiles;
  • 2 Kh31P air-to-surface guided anti-radiation missile;
  • 6 Kh-59 air-to-surface TV-guided cruise missiles;
  • 13 S-300 guided surface-to-air missiles; and
  • 8 Shahed-136/131 suicide drones.

The Ukrainian air defense shot down 34 of the 48 Kh-101/Kh-555 and Kalibr cruise missiles and four drones. All the eight air-to-surface guided missiles (Kh31P and Kh-59) “missed the mark” “as a result of organized counteraction,” the General Staff said.
