Russia plans to disrupt pro-Ukrainian rallies on February 24th

Russia is preparing to disrupt and hinder pro-Ukrainian peaceful rallies and events leading up to February 24, marking the 10th anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

In Portugal, Russian Communists have announced rallies against racism and xenophobia in cities where Ukrainian events are planned. The timing of these events is also identical, as reported by Pavlo Sadokha, UWC Vice-President and President of the Union of Ukrainians in Portugal.

“Another piece of evidence that, under the pretext of combating discrimination and racism, Portuguese communists are actually fulfilling orders from the Putin regime. In contrast to Ukrainians, who are organizing actions worldwide on February 24 in support of Ukraine and to honor the victims of the Russian genocide, Portuguese communists have decided to hold actions against racism and xenophobia in the same cities and at the same times. In reality, they are demonstrating that they are the true xenophobes,” wrote Sadokha.

In Denmark, occupiers have announced a “friendly” event with the participation of “Danish, Russian, and Ukrainian” musicians. Russians intend to hold a “balalaika concert for the people of Ukraine on the second anniversary of the invasion.”

Therefore, when planning your day on February 24, it is important to carefully distinguish between pseudo-rallies and events organized by Russians aimed at downplaying the tragedy of the Ukrainian people due to Russian aggression. Pay attention to the organizers, the peaceful nature of the actions, and the slogans being voiced.
