Russian authorities in temporarily occupied areas of Ukraine are scholastically instilling propaganda courses to pupils, the National Resistance Center (NRC) reports.
The initiative targets high school students and is called the “Young Info-Warrior Course.”
It is disguised as a “journalism” course that is actually being taught to have pupils “lie and spread Russian propaganda,” the NRC said.
The most “successful” students will be taken under the wing of experienced propagandists, who aim to exploit young people’s desire for popularity and “easy money,” the report said.
“In this way, the occupiers are trying to cultivate a new generation with tools for their information war,” the NRC said.
The organization also said that the scale of youth involvement in this program is still being determined.
Previously, Russia began a new stage of propaganda in kindergartens in the temporarily occupied part of the Donetsk region, now putting even the youngest Ukrainian children under ideological pressure and indoctrination.
