Russian occupiers once again resorted to abducting workers of the Zaporizhya Nuclear Power Plant, the press service of Energoatom reported.
Yesterday, Russians detained and took two ZNPP officers to an unknown destination: Oleh Kostyukov, the head of the ZNPP information technology service, and Oleh Osheka, the plant’s assistant general director. Nothing is known about their whereabouts and condition.
“We are appealing to IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi and the entire world community to make every effort and take all possible measures to free the ZNPP workers from Russian terrorists’ captivity and facilitate their return to duty,” Energoatom said.
Previously, the occupiers had already kidnapped ZNPP officers. At the beginning of October, they detained Ihor Murashov, the general director of the plant, in an unknown place for three days. He was then released. And on October 10, Valery Martynyuk, his deputy for personnel, was kidnapped and is still being held in an unknown place. As suggested by Energoatom, torture and intimidation may be used against him.
