Ukrainian communities in more than 20 countries, including France, the United Kingdom, Australia, the United States, Canada, and Poland, have supported and donated to the UWC’s Santa’s Birds – Птахи Санти Fundraising Campaign as of the halfway point of the initiative. Total collected: $200,583.85 USD = 401 FPV Drones from 635 individual donors.
“The collaboration of Ukrainian communities worldwide has shown that we can achieve remarkable results,” said Andrew Potichnyj, Director of the UWC’s Unite with Ukraine initiative. It has been demonstrated that the Ukrainian diaspora is working together to enhance the battlefield capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces through the Santa’s Birds – Птахи Санти initiative.
Potichnyj thanked all the incredible donors for their unwavering support of Ukrainian Defenders!
“We would like to express our gratitude to all Ukrainians and friends of Ukraine from all corners of the planet. We especially thank the Australian Ukrainian community, led by UWC First Vice President Stefan Romaniv and Jarema Polatajko from the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations, for their leadership in driving the Santa’s Drones fundraising campaign “down under.” Their efforts resulted in one of the most significant contributions from any Ukrainian community worldwide,” said Potichnyj.
The Director of the UWC’s Unite with Ukraine also expressed his gratitude to Christian Borys, Saint Javelin, and their entire community for their exceptional support. “Their efforts in promoting this campaign to their audience and encouraging friends of Ukraine to give the gift of an FPV drone to Ukrainian defenders have resulted in many of the donations we have received over the last two weeks. We are truly thankful for their contribution,” highlighted Potichnyj.
The Ukrainian World Congress urges all Ukrainian communities and organizations to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces and donate to as many drones as possible this holiday season. There is still time to contribute, as our collection will continue until January 10th, 2024. It is important to remember that every dollar counts and no contribution is ever too small!
