The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) calls upon all allies of Ukraine, to immediately provide Kyiv with the defensive weapons they have requested. During meetings this week in Ukraine with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba and other senior government officials, the UWC delegation heard very clearly that the armed forces are in desperate need of sophisticated air defense and anti-tank weapons.
“Russia is viciously bombing Ukraine. They are striking residential buildings, schools, hospitals, theatres and critical infrastructure. Ukraine needs weapons NOW to stop the tanks and the rain of Russian missiles,” stated UWC President Paul Grod. “While in Ukraine, we learned that the flow of these defensive weapons has slowed to a trickle, supplies are running low, and some major countries who have proclaimed their military support are not delivering on their commitments. Please call your government leaders and demand they send Ukraine these weapons so they can defend against the rain of death and destruction being perpetrated on the people of Ukraine.”
As private citizens, we can all make a difference by supporting those women and men on the front lines. The UWC #UniteWithUkraine campaign is focused on delivering equipment and supplies to the defenders of Ukraine, which today number over 200,000 volunteers. These Territorial Defense Units lack the basic protective gear to properly outfit these brave citizens. Currently, large amounts of protective equipment such as bulletproof vests, helmets and field medical kits are being shipped to the areas of Ukraine most in need. But we need more funds. Please help us protect the defenders of Ukraine by donating to www.UniteWithUkraine.com
Russian Armed Forces are committing terrible war crimes and genocide in Ukraine. The Ukrainian people will not give up. We call on Ukraine’s allies to immediately deliver the requested weapons they need to defend themselves and we call up all friends of Ukraine to help UWC outfit Ukraine’s citizen defenders with life-saving protective equipment.
