The Ukrainian World Congress unequivocally condemns the latest unprovoked drone incursions by the Russian Federation into Polish territory. This is nothing short of an act of aggression not only against a sovereign nation, but against the NATO alliance itself. These are not accidents. They are deliberate provocations, reckless violations of international borders, and a blatant challenge to the collective security of Europe.
As Poland awoke to the reality of foreign drones breaching its airspace, the message from Moscow was unmistakable: Russia remains a rogue actor, emboldened by impunity and contemptuous of global norms. These incursions are not isolated, they are part of a broader campaign of destabilization, intimidation, and lawlessness.
Russia’s status as an aggressive pariah is no longer a matter of debate. This is fact. And the time for hesitation is over.
The Ukrainian World Congress calls on NATO and the international community to respond swiftly and decisively. Specifically, we demand:
- Immediate clarification and accountability: NATO must publicly acknowledge the gravity of this breach and demand full transparency from Russia. Silence is complicity.
- Strengthened air defense coordination across Eastern Europe: The protection of NATO airspace must be non-negotiable. Poland, the Baltics, and all frontline states must be equipped and empowered to intercept and neutralize future threats.
- Escalating diplomatic and economic consequences: Every violation must carry a price. Russia’s continued aggression must trigger automatic sanctions, diplomatic isolation, and the freezing of assets tied to its war machine.
- A reaffirmation of NATO’s collective defense commitment: Article 5 is not symbolic, it is the backbone of European security. The alliance must demonstrate that any attack, even by drone, will be met with unified resolve.
Russia thrives on ambiguity, delay, and division. A fractured response only invites further escalation. Today it is Poland. Tomorrow, it could be another NATO member. The line must be drawn clearly, forcefully, and without apology. The time for strategic patience has passed. The world must now embrace strategic resolve.
The Ukrainian World Congress stands in unwavering solidarity with Poland and all nations defending the principles of sovereignty, peace, and international law. We call on NATO and its allies to move beyond expressions of concern and toward coordinated, immediate action.
“Russia’s drone incursions into NATO territory are not just provocations, they are tests of our collective will,” said Paul Grod, President of the Ukrainian World Congress. “Every time we hesitate, Moscow grows bolder. The international community must respond with strength, unity, and speed. Deterrence only works when it is felt.”
We urge global leaders to act decisively: reinforce Eastern European air defenses, impose automatic and escalating sanctions for every violation, and reaffirm the inviolability of NATO borders. The cost of inaction is no longer theoretical. It will be measured in lives, in sovereignty, and in the erosion of global stability.
Stand with Poland. Stand with NATO. Stand against terror.
