The Ministry of Digital Transformation and other UWC partners congratulated the UWC on its 55th anniversary

The Ukrainian World Congress continues to receive greetings on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of its founding.

“Since the first days of the full-scale invasion [by  Russia], the Ukrainian World Congress has been supporting Ukraine on the diplomatic, information, and volunteer fronts,” the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine quotes its Minister Mykhailo Fedorov on its website. – The Congress unites people around the support of our military and Ukrainians who were forced to leave the country. On the occasion of Independence Day, UWC, together with the initiative of the President of Ukraine, UNITED24, organized a fundraiser on the Unite With Ukraine platform for drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Then it was possible to raise 600,000 dollars for the purchase of drones for the Armed Forces.”

On behalf of the National Museum of the Holodomor-Genocide, its acting director Lesya Hasydzhak notes that the museum stands guard over the truth and memory of the Holodomor of 1932-1933, and expresses gratitude to the UWC for “joint projects with the Museum, for spreading the truth in the world, for assistance in recognizing the Holodomor as a genocide of Ukrainians, for active participation in holding annual commemoration days abroad.”

“Thanks to you among others, on the fourth Saturday of November, thousands of lights of mourning are lit in all corners of the world, honoring the memory of the victims of the Holodomor and reminding humanity of the tragedy of Ukrainians,” the head of the museum emphasizes.

Alla Atamanenko, director of the Ukrainian Diaspora Research Institute named after Professor Lyubomir Vynar of the Ostroh Academy National University, writes: “Over the years of its activity, SCU has become a global voice and a factor in the consolidation of Ukrainians abroad in the world, a defender of Ukraine’s interests in the international arena. The fruitful work of the SCU Wire, its structural subdivisions and all member organizations contributes to improving the image and brand of Ukraine in the world, debunking stereotypes and false myths about Ukrainian history and culture, makes a significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian education and science in the diaspora.”

Director of the International Institute of Education, Culture and Relations with the Diaspora, Iryna Klyuchkovska, sent congratulations in the form of a video, in which she called the UWC “our strength, support, and wings.”

“We remember that our Ukrainians die every day, every hour, choosing freedom for us, for the entire civilized, European, democratic world. But we stand. And more than once we ask ourselves: why do we stand so firmly? Because we are a strong nation. Because we have the support of the West. And because we have you – Ukrainians in the world. And because we have the World Congress of Ukrainians, which works with Ukrainian communities in many, many countries,” said the director of the International Institute of Education, Culture and Relations with the Diaspora.

“A bow to those Ukrainians who gave their strength for the establishment of the Ukrainian nation and the joining of Ukraine to the democratic community as an equal among equals! – wrote the head of the Public Association “Center of Ukrainian Culture “Sych” Valentyna Logvyn from Minsk, Belarus. – And then and now our large family worked and will work for the preservation and development of the achievements of the great and ancient Ukrainian culture, for the preservation of ourselves in a diverse world, for the world to know about our glorious and bitter, heroic and tragic past and present! Strength, effort, and victory – to all of us! Glory to Ukraine and its defenders!”
