Ukrainian students abroad can join national olympiads, keeping ties to home through learning

Ukrainian students who are furthering their education abroad because of Russia’s war will, for the first time, have the opportunity to participate remotely in Ukraine’s nationwide student Olympiads. 

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine announced that this new opportunity will allow displaced students to remain active members of the country’s academic community regardless of where they now live. 

The updated Regulations on the Olympiad and Tournament Movement simplify participation rules, clarifying roles, and expand access for students who study in Ukrainian schools abroad. 

To participate, students must complete an online form by Nov. 14, 2025, and attach scanned copies of the required documents. After registration, participants will receive instructions for remote participation.

Olympiad subjects and registration links include: astronomy, biology, geography, computer science, information technologies, history, mathematics, law, Ukrainian language and literature, physics, and chemistry.
