Traditionally, in the summer, the largest number of Ukrainian festivals take place around the world. The Ukrainian World Congress has compiled a list of events that can be visited soon to enjoy Ukrainian culture and community.
The 51st Annual Ukrainian Pysanka Festival in the Canadian province of Alberta is concluding these days. The three-day event features workshops, fairs, Ukrainian cuisine, and entertainment. Details are available at the link.
From June 6 to June 29, The Ukrainian Culture Festival is taking place in Luxembourg. The three-week program will include live music performances, culinary events, film screenings, workshops, games, and even a fashion show. Details are available at the link.
On June 23 in London, the Kupala Festival | Ukrainian Fundraiser Solstice Celebration is planned. “Kupala is a pre-Christian celebration of nature’s peak flourish on the shortest night of the year observed in Northern and Eastern Europe. In Japan, the Kupala will be celebrated on July 7. The Association of Friendship Japan-Ukraine NGO Krayany is organizing the event. “Join us in celebrating Kupala and lift your spirits! UkraineFest: 2024 Soyuzivka Summer Festival in Kerhonkson, New York, USA, will take place from July 12 to 14. “After last year’s success, we’re thrilled to provide you the return performers who you have grown to love and added more! From August 2 to 4, Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival, an event with a long history, will take place. “Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival in Dauphin originated at a meeting of the Dauphin Chamber of Commerce and from there a founding group was established in 1965,” according to the event’s website. In Chicago, from August 10 to 11, the Ukrainian Village Fest will take place. “Two-day street festival showcasing Ukrainian vendors, performers, and cuisine. Ukrainian Village Fest has grown into the largest festivals celebrating Ukrainian culture in Chicago and surrounding areas, with thousands of attendees each day,” the description says. St. Josaphat Ukrainian Festival will take place in Rochester, New York, USA, from August 15 to 18. “The St. Josaphat’s Ukrainian Festival was established in 1973 as an effort to introduce Ukrainian Arts and Crafts, Ukrainian food, and Ukrainian music and dance to the Greater Rochester community,” according to the website.
