Ukrainian World Congress calls for all Ukrainian citizens
in and outside Ukraine to participate in the 25 May Presidential Election
The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) calls for all Ukrainian citizens living in Ukraine and the diaspora to express their will in electing the next President of Ukraine on 25 May 2014, taking advantage of an integral component of democratic society – the right to vote.
Today, it is critical for every Ukrainian citizen to understand the decisive role of this election and every individual vote for the future of the country, and to not succumb to Russia’s pressure aimed at frightening Ukrainian voters and disrupting this Presidential election.
The UWC deems the election of the President of Ukraine to be an internal Ukrainian matter which must be decided exclusively by the citizens of Ukraine.
To enhance the free expression of the will of the electorate, the UWC is deploying over 230 international observers from 22 countries to monitor this Presidential Election.
“The Ukrainian World Congress calls for all Ukrainian citizens in and outside Ukraine to participate in the election of a President of Ukraine who could unite the entire country and unwaveringly focus on strengthening its independence, territorial integrity and continued development,” said UWC President Eugene Czolij.
