UWC Motto for 2018-2022 

Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) calls upon the Ukrainian diaspora to coordinate activities throughout 2018-2022 heeding the motto “Wherever we may live, let’s take pride in being Ukrainian!”

UWC Motto for 2019:

The UWC calls upon the Ukrainian diaspora to live and work in 2019 by the motto: “Our strength lies in the unity of the entire Ukrainian nation and the integrity of Ukrainian lands!”

UWC Commemorative Dates in 2019

In 2019, the UWC calls upon the Ukrainian diaspora to organize:

• celebratory events on the occasion of the:

Unification of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and its receipt of a Tomos of Autocephaly;

100th Anniversary of the Proclamation of the Unification Act joining the Ukrainian People’s Republic and Western Ukrainian People’s Republic;

80th Anniversary of the Proclamation of the independent Carpatho-Ukrainian state;

30th Anniversary of the legalization of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Ukraine;

• events commemorating tragic pages in the history of Ukraine, specifically the:

5th anniversary of the execution of the Nebesna Sotnia (Heavenly Hundred);

5th anniversary of the illegal occupation by the Russian Federation of Crimea and the Donbas;

5th anniversary of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine;

75th anniversary of the resettlement and deportation of Ukrainians from Lemkivschyna, Kholmschyna, Nadsiannia and Pidliashia; and

75th anniversary of the deportation of Crimean Tatars and other Crimean peoples.
