In 2017 the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) is preparing to celebrate 50 years of success in uniting Ukrainian communities worldwide to further the interests of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people, and promote a common vision for the future.

The UWC aims to engage with its commemorative program communities in all of the 53 countries in which the UWC has direct ties, every Ukrainian and friend of Ukraine around the world, and the broader international community.

To spearhead the celebrations, the UWC Board of Directors has appointed a UWC 50th Anniversary Committee chaired by Irene Mycak (Canada) and including the following members: Eugene Czolij (Canada), Jaroszlava Hartyanyi (Hungary), Orysia Sushko (Canada), Stefan Romaniw (Australia), Zenon Potichny (Canada), Anna Kisil (Canada), Walter Zaryckyj (USA), Yuri Chopyk (Spain) and Iryna Kluchkovska (Ukraine).

“I encourage our organizations to join our common celebration of UWC’s 50th anniversary by spearheading initiatives in your communities and sharing our joint successes and goals with the world,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
