The final report of the UWC Election Observation Mission is the result of in-depth analytical work by electoral experts, international observers at polling stations, and numerous meetings with Ukrainian government officials, OSCE Monitoring Mission officials, Church Hierarchs, and NGOs.

The final report contains recommendations for improving the electoral process in Ukraine. The document is addressed to the Central Election Commission, state authorities, local governments, political parties, public associations, organizations, as well as all citizens of Ukraine.

At a time when globally democracy is under attack and in retreat, Ukraine is literally its front line,” stressed the Head of the UWC Monitoring Mission, Borys Wrzesnewskyj. “However, it is important to note that there were still problems, and the biggest of them was the deprivation of half a million Ukrainians in Eastern Ukraine, in parts of Luhansk and Donetsk regions, the right to vote. These people went through a lot and had the right to have their voices heard. Changes in the election legislation are needed and this issue is also reflected in the report. “

“Voting is not only a fundamental process in a democratic system – but a civic duty that enables one to shape their government and future – and the 2020 local elections were no differentOn behalf of the diaspora, we thank all the members of the Central Election Commission. What you accomplished amid the pandemic deserves respect,” summed up Andriy Futey, Head of the UCCA Election Observation Mission.

Serhiy Kasyanchuk, Director of the UWC Mission to Ukraine, Natalia Nemyliwska, Director of the UWC Economic Prosperity and Investment Committee (EPIC) and Chief Observer from UWC, and Victoria Hubska Director of the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America Bureau in Kyiv joined the presentation of the report in Central Election Commission office.
