On the second anniversary of the downing of Malaysia Airlines MH17 on 17 July 2014, the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) and Ukrainians worldwide remember the victims of this horrific terrorist act and continue to stand in solidarity with the families and friends who, to this day, pursue accountability for this crime.
The Malaysian passenger airliner carrying 298 passengers was travelling from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur when it was shot down by Russia-backed forces over Eastern Ukraine.
“It is imperative for the international community to keep this act of terrorism in the forefront until justice is rendered,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
