UWC appoints Juri Chabursky as Development and Fundraising Leader

TORONTO – Following an extensive global search and a series of interviews, the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Juri Chabursky as Director of Development and Fundraising.

Juri’s extensive experience in organizational leadership, partnership development, and fundraising will strengthen the UWC’s ability to support Ukrainian initiatives around the world.

“We are thrilled to welcome Juri Chabursky to the UWC team. His expertise in fundraising and strategic development will help us expand support for Ukrainian communities and achieve our global objectives,” said UWC President Paul Grod.

About Juri Chabursky:

Juri Chabursky grew up in Toronto’s Ukrainian community, where he was an active parish member, served as a sacristan, and participated in Plast. He combines decades of global experience in healthcare, technology, financial services, and the nonprofit sector with a genuine passion for helping organizations grow and increase their impact.

Over the course of his career, Juri has helped nonprofits raise more than $1.2 million in six months, increased company revenues by 300%, delivered 20% annual growth for a national bank, and grew a startup to $3 million in two years. He has trained thousands of professionals worldwide and has taught at the Schulich School of Business.

Juri currently resides in San Diego, California, is fluent in Ukrainian and English, and continues to actively support Ukrainian initiatives globally.
