On 28 January 2014, Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Eugene Czolij met in Montreal, Canada, with Ambassador of Poland in Canada, Marcin Bosacki, to discuss the current situation in Ukraine. Ambassador Bosacki was joined by the Consul General of Poland in Montreal, Andrzej Szydlo.

Eugene Czolij expressed UWC’s gratitude to Poland for avidly promoting Ukraine’s Euro-integration and the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.

The Polish Ambassador and UWC President discussed the most recent developments in Ukraine that will lead to the formation of a new government. They also agreed on the need to find a peaceful and democratic resolution of the crisis in Ukraine.

Ambassador Bosacki indicated that “the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement is still on the table and that a broader assistance package should be envisaged to facilitate the implementation of true reforms and modernization of Ukraine.”

“The Ukrainian World Congress is very appreciative of Poland’s unequivocal support of the EuroMaidan movement for democracy in Ukraine,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
