UWC President meets with Ukrainian community in Vancouver
On 22 June 2013, Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Eugene Czolij addressed a National Leadership Reception sponsored by the Ukrainian Canadian Congress at the Ukrainian Catholic Center in Vancouver, Canada.
The UWC President focused on the importance of Ukraine’s Euro-integration and stressed that: “The decision to sign the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement should be based not on the conduct of today’s governing authorities in Ukraine, but rather on the long-term interests of Europe, Ukraine and regional security, stability and prosperity.”
Eugene Czolij also encouraged the Ukrainian community to participate in the X Ukrainian World Congress scheduled for 20-22 August 2013 in Lviv, Ukraine. Congress sessions will highlight three very important issues, namely Ukraine’s European aspirations, the concept of a global Ukrainian vision and the Holodomor.
