Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Paul Grod has been awarded the honorary title of “Ukrainian Canadian Lawyer of the Year” during the annual general meeting of the Ukrainian Canadian Bar Association (UCBA).
The event took place on Nov. 13 at the University Club in Toronto, Canada’s biggest city. Grod expressed his gratitude to the organizers, saying that it was a great honor to receive such a prestigious award.
The gathering brought together leading experts in journalism and public policy, including bestselling author and columnist Diane Francis, a senior fellow at the Washington-based Atlantic Council, and investigative journalist Viktor Malarek.
During the meeting, the association recognized the outstanding achievements of its members, highlighting their contributions to the legal profession and their support of the Ukrainian-Canadian community.
UCBA President Taras Kulish spoke about a successful year for the association, noting the creation of new committees, the organization of prominent educational and networking events, and the active work of the Quebec chapter.
The event underscored the importance of community leadership in advancing global Ukrainian initiatives and highlighted the value of recognizing those who make significant contributions to the legal profession and to the public life of Ukrainians in Canada.
