Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Paul Grod congratulated the Ukrainian National Women’s League of America (UNWLA) on the organization’s 100th anniversary.
The centennial milestone was celebrated on Oct. 19 in New York City.
“This centennial celebration is a testament to your unwavering dedication, resilience, and leadership,” Grod said.
He specifically recognized UNWLA President Natalie Pawlenko, Centennial Committee Chair Marianna Zayats, and the organization’s entire leadership team and devoted members.
“The Ukrainian National Women’s League of America has been an active and effective member of the Ukrainian World Congress as a leader on our global team of advocates and builders,” Grod said.
He added that UNWLA’s “voices are incredibly important in ensuring continued support for Ukraine at this critical time, while also nurturing strong Ukrainian communities throughout the United States.”
Grod said that Russia’s imperial ambitions and chauvinistic policies toward Ukraine will remain a threat to the Ukrainian people for decades.
“We, as global Ukrainians, must remain united and strong. Your century of leadership is not only inspiring, it’s essential,” he said.
Wishing the organization continued success, Grod said, “One-hundred years of active leadership and still going strong. You are a shining example for Ukrainian organizations around the world. We are proud and deeply grateful. I wish you another 100 years of success for the benefit of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people in the United States and globally.”
