The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) has officially begun preparations for the ANZ-Ukraine Forum 2026 (Mahi For Ukraine) — an initiative poised to become a defining moment in strengthening the global coalition of support for Ukraine.
On Dec. 9, UWC Vice President Nataliya Poshyvaylo-Towler held two key meetings that signaled the start of this journey: one with the forum’s organizing team and another with leaders of Ukrainian communities across Australia, New Zealand, and the broader Southern Hemisphere.
“This important initiative, supported by the Ukrainian World Congress and the Embassy of Ukraine in Australia and New Zealand, aims to bring together partners from Australia, New Zealand, and Ukraine,” said Poshyvaylo-Towler, who leads UWC’s work across Southern and Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Türkiye, and Lebanon.

Scheduled for late February to early March 2026, the forum will bring to Lviv a powerful network of partners united by a shared purpose: to accelerate cooperation in defense and resilience, innovation, business and investment, emergency response, and humanitarian and philanthropic support. Its mission is to spark long-term collaborations that will help secure Ukraine’s future and amplify the role of global partners in its recovery and renewal.
Poshyvaylo-Towler said the initial meetings aimed to align vision and purpose — offering partners and communities a first look at how the forum will serve as a lasting platform connecting Australia, New Zealand, and Ukraine in practical, transformative ways.
The forum will open new pathways for institutions, companies, associations, and NGOs across the ANZ region to take part in reconstruction projects, resilience-building initiatives, and forward-looking partnerships that contribute to Ukraine’s strength for decades to come.
With applications now open through an Expressions of Interest format, organizers are inviting early participants to help shape a forum designed not just as an event, but as a catalyst for enduring impact.
“I warmly invite Ukrainian communities, businesses, government bodies, NGOs, and all interested partners to participate,” Poshyvaylo-Towler said. “Together, we are building partnerships that strengthen Ukraine — and shaping a future grounded in resilience, unity, and shared purpose.”
