Marta Farion, Vice President of the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UCCA) and Vice President of the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) for North America, met with Ukraine’s Ambassador to Poland, Vasyl Bodnar, on Sept. 6 in Warsaw to discuss current issues and reaffirm support for Ukraine amid Russia’s ongoing war.
“It was a great honor to visit the Embassy of Ukraine in Poland,” Farion said, saying that Bodnar is “a diplomat of the highest order serving in a difficult continuously changing environment.”
The meeting accentuated shared priorities and connections, with Farion noting the discovery of “many mutual friends.”
A highlight of the visit was her chance to encounter Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariana Betsa, which she described as an unexpected privilege.
“To meet two of Ukraine’s finest top diplomats in one session and enjoy the discussion with them is truly a privilege,” Farion said.

During her tour of the embassy, Farion also viewed the modern offices near Poland’s government buildings and saw an actual drone, a reminder of Ukraine’s growing innovations in wartime technology.

Reflecting on the visit, Farion emphasized Ukraine’s resilience and ingenuity in the face of Russian aggression.
“Almost four years of war against an enemy everybody thought was invincible! It turned out that Ukraine’s brain power, innovations in war technology, courage and strength of its military heroes and the people’s incredible support surprised the world,” she said.
