“Quotes about the meaning and work of the WCFU and UWC”

The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) welcomes the project “Quotes about the meaning and work of the WCFU and UWC” launched in the framework of the 50th anniversary of the UWC by the International Institute for Education, Culture and Diaspora Relations (IIECDR) of Lviv Polytechnic National University under the leadership of Director Dr. Iryna Kluchkovska.

The social media campaign will compile and present quotes about the UWC,and its predecessor,  World Congress of Free Ukrainians (WCFU), from a broad spectrum of individuals including Ukrainian and non-Ukrainian church, community and political leaders from around the world. The campaign designed for social media sites will raise awareness of the past and present achievements of the UWC, and its relevance throughout its 50-year history.

The project is one of several that will be produced by the IIECDR throughout 2017, including a travelling exhibit about the UWC that will primarily engage students at Ukrainian educational institutions and include a digital media component.

The IIECDR will also be hosting Ukrainians from around the world on 27-29 August 2017 in Lviv, Ukraine, for three days of commemorative events.

“The Ukrainian World Congress is pleased to partner with the International Institute for Education, Culture and Diaspora Relations in celebrating 50 years of the UWC with awareness raising initiatives that will serve to further unite the Ukrainian people at a critical juncture in history,” stated Chair of the UWC 50th Anniversary Committee Iryna Mycak.

The UWC encourages everyone to participate in the social media campaign by sharing the quotes that will appear daily on the Facebook pages of both the IIECDR https://www.facebook.com/MIOK.LVIV.UA and the UWC https://www.facebook.com/UWCongress/ .
